The Seattle Fire Department strongly believes in community involvement. With 33 fire stations located throughout the city, they have a presence in every neighborhood.

The department’s mission is to prevent the loss of life and property resulting from fires, medical emergencies and other disasters. SFD accomplishes that mission through highly trained firefighters, a focus on fire prevention and education and nationally recognized emergency medical skills.
